Commonalities and Differences in Contributors to Women's and Men's Leadership Advancement

Women hold over 50% of professional jobs but still lag significantly behind men in leadership representation, especially at the top. Research and a range of attempted solutions have failed to provide a clear, coherent, and actionable understanding of the forces inhibiting women’s advancement. And now the #MeToo movement has shone a light on the rampant and often pernicious use of gendered and sexualized power in the workplace. This research seeks to better understand the personal experiences of both women and men in organizations in relation to their career trajectories, to inform our work in supporting and developing successful, ethical leaders (those who wield power).
